Hardwicke has a renowned and highly experienced property division and we act for both claimants and defendants in professional negligence claims for and against professionals involved in the property world.

Our members have a particular strength in lawyers’ liability claims arising out of both contentious and non-contentious work in all areas of practice including commercial and residential conveyancing, transactions concerning options, break clauses, restrictive covenants and charges, business tenancy lease renewals and leasehold enfranchisement.

We act in claims for and against surveyors and valuers of residential and commercial properties and in claims against estate agents.

We also act in claims for and against lenders and brokers and we are able to act in relation to any negligence claims arising out of the negligent provision of property finance. Our barristers have assisted property developers in the full spectrum of claims they may have against their professional advisers.
