Product Liability

Product liability is a required and recognised area of practice for Hardwicke’s insurance division with a ready overlap with many injury claims.

Hardwicke barristers advise on all relevant party issues such as the correct forum for the claim, identification of the initial importer and the correct defendant

Insurance and indemnity issues can be important and team members will advise on product safety issues, in particular advising on the critical concept of “defect”.

The range of claims covers all usual injury related product liability claims such as plant, machinery, vehicles, bikes and other items that break, fail or somehow cause injury and loss to potential litigants.
