Practice Management Team

Our Practice Management Team is divided in to our four divisions: Commercial, Insurance, Property & Private Client and Public Law. The team is available to take bookings, agree fees, and to advise on the selection of the appropriate barrister for each case.  They are an enthusiastic and service-driven team, who will be happy to assist with any enquiry.  For more details, please see below:

Practice Director Amanda Illing joined Hardwicke in July 2009 after 9 years at Matrix.  Amanda was previously the Private Secretary to the Director of Public Prosecutions and a caseworker in the Crown Prosecution Service.  Amanda is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development. She is committed to meeting clients’ needs and providing solutions to engaging barristers and fee structures. Commercial Practice Team

The Commercial Practice Team is led by Paul Adams who joined Hardwicke in 2012. Paul is supported by Richard Evans who joined Hardwicke in October 2005, having previously worked for 4 years at Maitland Chambers. Richard is currently undertaking his CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Professional Certificate in Marketing. Melissa Wood is a law graduate and joined the team in 2010. She is one of Hardwicke's work experience coordinators. Matthew Holloway has been at Hardwicke since 2000 and oversees the Chambers Fees Team, handling all matters relating to fees for the commercial team.

Insurance Practice Team

The Insurance Practice Team is led by Antony Day who is a law graduate and holds an MSc in Risk Management and Insurance. Antony has extensive insurance market experience having worked as both a Lloyd’s Underwriter and a Placing Broker in the London insurance market. Oliver Edwards came to Hardwicke in 2002. He has particular expertise in CFAs and Insurance based work. He is joined by Assistant Practice Manager, Natasha Devlin. Amy Thomson has been at Hardwicke since 2005 and handles all the team's fees related matters;  She has completed Level 2 of the Association of Accounting Technicians course.

Public Practice Team

The Public Law Practice Team is led by Daniel Kemp who has over 15 years' practice management experience.  Daniel joined Hardwicke with sixteen members of Goldsmith Building in June 2002,  and is currently obtaining the Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Certificate in Marketing qualification. He is supported by Elizabeth Bousher who joined Hardwicke in 2008 after completing a geography degree at Exeter University. Francesca Gabbitas joined the team in 2011 after completing a law degree and LPC at Northumbria University, as did David Honeyman who worked in the Prosecutions Deptartment from 1980 – 2003 and latterly managed all criminal fees related work for other sets.

Property & Private Client Practice Team

The Property & Private Client Practice Team is led by Paul Horsfield who joined Hardwicke from another set in 2004. He is assisted by Annabelle Lock who came to Hardwicke in 2006 after graduating from Aberystwyth University with a degree in law and business management. Michelle Robinson joined in 2010 after completing a degree in business management at Coventry University.
