Practice Management Team

Our Practice Management Team, led by Deborah Anderson, has a reputation for professionalism and friendliness. Clients comment that “Hardwicke represents a breath of fresh air in the way it operates” and “The service provided is ‘far ahead compared to other sets’ and the clerking is also ‘the best’, providing ‘innovative fee structures’, ‘great administrative support’ and ‘understanding of both solicitors’ and barristers’ needs’ (Legal 500, 2017).

All members of the practice team are available to take bookings, agree fees, and to assist and advise clients on the availability and selection of the appropriate barrister for each case, for barristers of all seniority and across the range of Hardwicke’s specialist disciplines. They are an enthusiastic and service-driven team, who work together as one unit to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with professionally and efficiently. Individual members of the practice team take lead specialist responsibility for co-ordinating work and business development for some areas of practice, taking a keen interest in the industry sector. This is noted and appreciated by clients who comment that “the practice managers make a real effort to build relationships with instructing solicitors”.

Deborah joined Hardwicke in September 2014 after 14 years at Brick Court Chambers, where she worked as one of the Senior Clerks, developing and managing the practices of some of the most senior members of chambers to the most junior.  Prior to accepting Brick Court’s invitation to join their clerking team, Deborah was Senior Clerk at Littleton Chambers.

Having managed the practices of barristers, arbitrators and mediators for over 35 years, she is fully aware of and responsive to the needs of both professional and lay clients.  She appreciates the importance of being able to offer not only the right barrister for the work, but also ensuring a high level of service across the board, from the first enquiry to the conclusion of the matter.

Deborah volunteers for and assists in the running and administration of the Waterloo Legal Advice Service. She loves living in central London and enjoys all that the city offers, with a keen interest in the theatre, museums, and art galleries.
