A leading set specialising in commercial, construction, insurance and property law

George joined Hardwicke as a pupil in October 2017, and is developing experience across Chambers’ core areas of practice, with a focus on general commercial, construction, and insurance disputes.

Before coming to the Bar, George read History at New College, Oxford, with a particular interest in modern British social and political history. He graduated with a First Class degree in 2015, before studying the GDL and BPTC at City University.

During his training, George was awarded the Buchanan Prize and Lord Bowen, Lord Denning, Hardwicke, and Walter Wigglesworth Scholarships by Lincoln’s Inn, as well a scholarship for the GDL from City University. He also won the Monckton Chambers prize for his GDL work on EU law, and was one half of the team of runners-up in the 2016-17 Times/2 Temple Gardens moot, the largest competition of its kind in the country.

Outside the law, George enjoys playing rugby, cricket and squash. He is interested in history and literature and was published in 2014 as the main researcher and contributor to an internationally-successful collection of biographies.
