Chris is a pupil at Hardwicke, and is developing experience across Chambers’ core areas of practice, with a focus on property, private client and insolvency matters.
Before coming to the Bar, Chris spent 12 years as an officer in the British Army and developed strong organisational skills, an effective oral and written communication style, as well as gaining experience in analysing complex situations. He then tested these skills commercially as a project manager in the global headquarters of a major bank.
As a volunteer for a national charity, he has represented children with Special Educational Needs in the First-Tier Tribunal. More recently, he successfully resisted a local authority’s application for permission to appeal in the Upper Tribunal.
Immediately prior to commencing pupillage, Chris delivered negotiation training to civil servants, and worked as an adjudicator for a consumer aviation alternative dispute resolution scheme.
