Alex Bastin specialises solely in property-related litigation and advisory work. He is known for his client-focused, practical approach and is recommended as a leading junior for property litigation by The Legal 500 and Chambers UK.
He has experience of both sides of the legal profession having spent a year as an employed barrister in Mayer Brown’s Real Estate & Environmental Litigation department between 2001 and 2002. Alex appears regularly in the High Court, County Court, Upper Tribunal (Land Chamber) and First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), and is licensed to accept public access instructions and has considerable experience of mediation.
