Hardwicke bolsters employment and commercial teams with arrival of new tenant

Hardwicke is pleased to announce the arrival of Mark Stephens, a barrister specialising in employment and commercial law, adding strength and further expertise to the set’s employment and commercial practices.

Mark joins Hardwicke from 1 Mitre Court Buildings. Called to the bar in 1998, he advises and acts for clients in Tribunal claims involving the law of unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, redundancy and breach of contract. He frequently appears in the High Court and County Courts, representing both employers and employees in actions for the enforcement of restrictive covenants, which often involve allegations of breach of confidence and fidelity, and in high-value claims for breach of contract. Mark’s commercial practice focuses on contractual disputes including contracts for the sale of goods, partnership agreements and actions upon guarantees and indemnities.

Speaking about his move to Hardwicke, Mark said, “I am very excited to be practising alongside the exceptional members of Hardwicke's Commercial and Employment teams, and to be able to deliver to my clients the first-class support of Hardwicke's superb practice management team.”
