Land & Real Property
Hardwicke is recommended by Legal 500 as having "an impressive group of juniors" practising in property and members who provide “a fast and efficient service”. Our barristers bring a clear and practical approach to the complexities of real property. We can give initial advice about your rights and obligations, help with an ongoing dispute, or represent you before a court, tribunal or adjudicator.
Our work covers the full range of land and real property issues. Hardwicke’s barristers deal with matters such as adverse possession, boundaries, easements (including rights of way, rights to drainage and rights of light) and other forms of neighbour dispute. We also have extensive experience in cases involving mortgages, options, overage and restrictive covenants. Similarly, if you need assistance with problems connected with land registration, unregistered land and/or fraud we have the knowledge, skills and experience to assist. Some of our barristers offer the particular skills needed to deal with party walls, trees, planning issues and compulsory purchase.
We also offer particular expertise in the impact of insolvency on property interests, co-ownership, property development, and issues related to conveyancing including specific performance. We have experience of mediation and other forms of ADR.
