The Article 8 Defence and its Impact on Private Landlords' Possession Actions

Hardwicke invites you to the third in our series of Social Housing Seminars.
This seminar will consider the availability of the Article 8 Defence in private landlord possession cases, given that the court is, by reason of section 6 of the Human Rights Act 1998, a "public authority" and so required to act in a manner that is compatible with the Convention Rights.
This seminar is aimed for practitioners with a basic knowledge of the Human Rights Act 1998, residential possession proceedings and who have considered Manchester City Council v Pinnock [2010] UKSC 45.
