Banking, Finance & Credit

Civil fraud

Considerable experience of dealing with domestic and international fraud cases frequently involving worldwide freezing injunctions.

Recent Work

2009 work includes case before the Commercial Court involving losses of about $70 m and allegations of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, dishonest assistance and knowing receipt. 2008 work involved advising on the liabilities of director/shareholders inflating profits before AIM listing.

Construction & Engineering

Considerable construction practice including emphasis on insurance issues, loss and expense/delay, design and build, design and engineering professionals, public utilities and street works disputes, local authority contracting, contaminated land and environment issues; expertise in construction and engineering disputes relating to utility companies.

Adjudications have included acting for National Assembly for Wales in the dispute over construction of the new assembly building. Experience has also included product liability cases, especially involving manufacturing and engineering.
