Hardwicke is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Illing as Chief Executive, succeeding Ann Buxton who retires after 11 years at Hardwicke on 21 November 2012.
Amanda was appointed as Hardwicke’s Practice Director in 2009, spearheading the restructuring and modernisation of Hardwicke’s practice management. Hardwicke’s consistent focus on client service standards has led to the set being shortlisted for the 2012 Chambers Bar Award for client service.
Amanda is set to continue the work of Ann Buxton in cementing Hardwicke’s position as a leading set in its specialist areas.
Heads of Chambers Nigel Jones QC and Paul Reed QC are delighted that Amanda has accepted the position and look forward to a successful future at Hardwicke.
Nigel Jones QC commented: “Appointing Amanda as Chief Executive is a strategic move in our efforts to be dynamic in our approach to legal service provision in an increasingly competitive market. “
Paul Reed QC said “Our clients’ needs are changing more and more, and in order to exceed their expectations, Hardwicke requires strong and structured leadership. We believe that Amanda will further develop the success Hardwicke has achieved in recent years.”
Hardwicke expresses its thanks and deep gratitude to Ann Buxton who has led and overseen a sea-change in the structure, focus and speciality of the set over the last decade. Said Nigel and Paul – “Ann will be a very tough act to follow; but we know that Amanda has the drive and commitment to make the role her own.”
